Working on a NCP500 w/ v6 software which has SVM. I have one extension that has its own line, and would like all unanswered calls to go to the mailbox of said extension. I know the mailbox is working, as I can log in, record and playback the greeting etc. However, I cannot get unanswered calls to roll into the mailbox. I have the extension set to forward busy/unanswered calls to the SVM pilot number, 591 in this case, but calls just ring and ring and ring. What am I missing?

What is ext FWD Timer set at.
Have you tried Intercept? User cant turn off.

FWD timer is set at 15 seconds. Intercept Destination is set to 591, which is the SVM pilot number.

is there any chance the greeting is deleted as it will not answer if no ogm present or could there be 10 messages already in the mailbox. this is the default allowed number of messages, again the svm will stop answering.

When I access the mailbox (via *38 codes), I can play the current greeting that I setup as a test. I thought too that maybe there were messages in there, but when I check, the mailbox is empty.

Delete mail box and set up new one?
Posted By: ffej010 Re: NCP500 forward to VM issue - 07/09/14 03:56 AM
Today I deleted the mailbox and setup a new one, and that has appeared to solve that problem. I could successfully get calls to go into voicemail when needed. However, now a new issue (not sure if related) has appeared.

The customer now wants this analog line that was going to this extension to ring at other extensions after X amount of rings. If they do not answer, then go to voicemail. So, this line is now directed to Incoming Call Distribution Group 192. The original extension, 112, is set to immediate ring and the 3 other fallback extensions are set to start ringing after 3 rings. Now when a call comes in on this line, extension 112 rings 3 times and then all the other extensions start to ring. The ringing continues but never gets to voicemail.

I am really getting less impressed with SVM all the time....but maybe it is just me.

Since now your sending the calls to an ICD group you have to set the overflow no answer destination to the pilot # of the VM, set the overflow timer to what you want and program a mailbox 192 to get the no answered calls. Are all your exts analog? If not you can program a message waiting button on digital sets for the 192 mailbox.

Don't know to much about the svm but if you had a TVA you could do some programming and have the message light show on the orginal ext 112

If you put extension 112 into the first entry of icd group and have the overflow no answer set to 591 after 20 or 30 seconds. the call will go into mailbox 112 and light message key on 112

I spoke with someone from Panasonic support today, and they informed me that I cannot use a voicemail box with an ICD when using SVM, and that I would need at least a TVA50. Does this seem correct? I have tried everything I can think of, and still cannot get the calls to go into voicemail (while using the ICD).

Good call OBT. I looked at the NCP feature manual and you are 100% correct. Thanks for teaching me something.

I have not been back on-site to try your suggestion yet. I am sure going to give it a try though. Thanks for the idea and I will let you know how it goes.
