I am working with a TDA200 but have not done a PRI conversion before and am confused on how to handle this.

My client is very simple and are very resistant to change. What they have now is 2 hunt groups of 5 lines. Each analog line has its own button in its own row. They do not use voicemail and do not have an overflow and want it to be busy if all lines are engaged.

I expected to be able to have AT&T build the same hunt groups as before and I could assign the DID’s to each key and merely point to them to their existing ICD’s. They say I must do this all myself at the switch. They are giving me 2 pilot numbers but say the hunt will go until all channels are filled by either number. How do I control the number of calls not to exceed 5 for each individual hunt group no matter how many members? Also they want to be able to see the line keys fill up like before so they can monitor the traffic but Panasonic says it will be one call per agent until the agents are used up.

Also on outbound calls they want each group to only CID the number of the Respective Sales or Service group.

Why did this have to get so complex?

If you have 10 channels then if they are full will get busy.
You can have line keys, just cant separate them on one phone.
Calls will come in on first idle channel.
Look at max busy extensions, ICD Groups Misc Tab.
Group has 10 members, 5 ext get busy, next call that DID gets busy if I remember correctly.
Outbound CID is Wired ext,Ext Settings, ISDN CLIP Tab.

What about fax?

Thanks for the pointers Brokeda,

Let me chew on this a while.

The Fax is not an issue as it is the alarm line and staying as a POTS.

They DO have a single Private line that I was just going to DIL the DID to one station though.

I see the max members in the ICD group but I still don't see where the hunt is set up at?

Panasonic Tech support contends that the hunt groups & number of chanels assigned is built by AT&T and that is how the number of channels is controlled. That is what I had expected to begin with.

However AT&T says they give me the 2 pilot numbers and they use up as many channels as possible and I have to control it all.

Can you tell me which is true?

The members in the ICD group is the hunt group.
It can be set for UCD, All Ring or Priority. ACD available with extended software.

Sales group 1 is 601. Point DID for to 601 for Day-Night_-Lunch-Break Just in case someone makes a mode change, unless other schedule needed.

If Group has 10 members and 5 max busy set with no Overflow and no mailbox, it should return busy after 5 ext busy.

Main Tab, Distribution Method.

Pana Console has EXTENSIVE help files which explain a lot.
The help files are a separate download from the Console.

Sorry I've been so slow to respond but I was taken ill and completely down over a month.

Thank you for the help. Panasonic is telling me that AT&T is supposed to do it and AT&T is saying it's a Panasonic problem. Naturally neither will allow a conference call to work it all out.

I've got a DSYS file ready to load on Friday which is turn u. That is of course unless AT&T fails the due date again.

I STILL can't belieev that 2 hunt groups and 1 private line would take so much massaging.
