Have a customer that has an existing NCP1000 and has recently started a new business that we will be installing a NS700G. Is it possible to network these two together to do site-to-site calling. I cannot find any documentation on the partner portal that discusses networking systems together.

Per the online course I just recently finished, you can network a NS1000 with an NS700.

I can't tell you the specifics, as the initial online installers course was pretty basic, and I have not had a chance to see a live system yet.

The spec sheet says not to use 700G for onelook networks. it looks like it will do ip-gateway link with sip trunk licences

We don't have the 700g here, but did have the NCP500v which was the same idea. we had a few issues with the customer out-growing it fast.

if the expansion licence is expensive it could cost a lot later

Support is telling me it should work, and they did sell me a Q-Sig networking license and a 4 Ch H.323 IP-GW/Sip Trunk License. They have it working on their bench and suppose to be working up a procedure on how to implement this. Will see what they send me.

Just an update, in working with the procedure that I was sent I got the two systems talking to each other. The procedure was fairly simple and works well. Actually, was more of a hassle to setup the VPN connection between the two sites than it was to program the systems. Thanks for the replies and advice.

Could that procedure be shared?
