Can't find in PDF ...so guessing the TDA does not offer this......but maybe changed terminology....so...................

Anway....customer wants the 'idle off hook' preference to be tweeked....so instead of going CO 4..3...2...1......to change it to 1....2...3...4...
On the old KXTD this was done with Program #103....

What 'phone programming' code is it on the TDA......IF it exists.....

Does your customer understand there is a reason outbound calls start at the bottom?

Call Collision:

1. The contention that occurs when a terminal and data circuit-terminating equipment (DCE) specify the same channel at the same time to transfer a call request and handle an incoming call. Note: When call collision occurs, the DCE proceeds with the call request and cancels the incoming call.

2. The condition that occurs when a trunk or channel is seized at both ends simultaneously, thereby blocking a call. (188) Deprecated synonym glare.

See:

Wikipedia

incoming -->1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8<-- outgoing

and

Loop Start

"Loop start signaling cannot detect simultaneous seizure of the line on both ends, commonly called glare, when used on trunk lines."

for more information.

It will generate Service Calls stating that calls not going through, to which, you will not be able to isolate. This will result in your customer thinking that either (or both) the system or technician is a piece of crap.

An informed customer is a happy customer.

[In the olden days of Ground Start lines this was not an issue]

Yeah but their outbound and inbound call volume is negligible so that potential occurrence would be very very rare....and adjusting for that making the line grab/hunt 2...3...4 would basically eliminate that rare chance and still accomplish their goal...."partially' sharing line 4 .....long story...

You can always change it back.
