I have an SBX in a grocery store with auto-attendant. I have two options on the attendant to transfer to 2 specific IST phones. When you press the digit, the phone rings about 5 times, then the attendant comes back on the says, "Unanswered Call - xferring to attendant". Neither of these phones have voice mail enabled. I have call-forward disabled. Transfer recall set to 90 sec. What am I missing? They want those 2 phones to "ring until the cows come home". After I left there yesterday, I did think about maybe a station group with only 1 phone in the group, then ringing the group. That would also allow the system to hold the call if the phone is busy, and then xfer it when the phone becomes idle, RIGHT??. I tried several timer changes, and can't seem to get the phone to keep ringing. Looking for any clues that anyone might have on how to do this.

Change the auto-attendant transfer to unsupervised this will stop it from pulling the call back .

Are the two phones members of an All Ring Station group? If not then create one and send the AA calls to it. Do not set an overflow destination, you can have a please hold announcement if you want that will play while the phones are ringing but it is not necessary.

Thanks Derrick. I did get something figured out. Hooked up my spare here on the bench and played with it. It is only one phone that it transfers to, but put that phone in a terminal group, with a please hold announcement, and then overflowed it back to the group. Seemed to work fine, got the hold announcement if they were on the phone. Yesterday, they decided they needed another phone in that dept, so I added another, changed to group to Ring, seems to work fine. I should have responded sooner that I did figure something out, but she's working now.
Thanks
Russ
