I went on site and during my site survey I noticed that some of the lines were very noisy so I inspected the inside plant cabling and found numerous wiring problems such as CAT-3 cabling running over F-lighting, cables with connectors connected at one end but not the other (antenna), I also found a number of bad punch downs, and grounding problems. I recommended that the customer first fix their inside plant issues. When a tone generator was placed on certain lines you could detect the tone due to the sign to noise ratio and the attenuation/impedence on these lines. After checking the PBX everything seem to be working properly
