No, actually a downgrade. At least that is the way I would see it. I believe the 565 was released to replace the dying and 'old fashioned' phones on systems that were originally installed with individual lamp grounds and A leads. As for sodder, ever'body knows that ever'thing 'eelectronical' runs on smoke. When the smoke gets out thru a hole, the dang thing quits.
