Your "ding, ding" is absolutely on target that two years ago when they raised the price it was to discourage those that sell the DSX and move onto the SL-1100. We had the unfortunate experience of installing a SL-1100 when it first came out , it was a nightmare to say the least
. About a year ago, we gave it a second look, reason was, like any new product, over time they fix things. IMHO and my techs, the SL-1100 is a real slick awesome product. I am not sure why anyone would still sell the DSX? I will say though, I personally like the DSX phone instruments. better than the SL-1100
