The 17k phones would work HF internal (ICM) calls both ways
but when it came to outside calls no transmit. Go Figure. That was a marketing ploy to get people to buy a biggerphone like the 28K or Display set.Just like if you remember what the list price on a 108 KSU cabinet was versus a 228 cabinet.All marketing.
