I worked in a city that had its own power company
and they created major problems for computers and
phone systems....hi & low power cycles, outages,
spikes, etc. We were replacing power suppies and
ckt cards all the time...the only relief the customer got was getting power filters installed
at the power panel. This stopped the damages.
