how do the switchs need to be set to program with a console plugged into the maintance port on the front of the cabinet ?
I put the system in years ago but the customers guy has been doing the programing just calling me in for advice .
well he had a heart attck his assistant has never programed the switch and I cant remeber the settings .
do we take the main console off line ?, I remeber something about that but its a bit foggy
been going thru the manuals but not finding it .

7770 sounds right. Let me know and I can look it up. Don't think you need to use the transfer switch.
Do the job right the first time.

7770 is correct for the maintenance console. Press lamp test and you're in programming. Hope you have an overlay. The main console does not need to go offline.

If you have not been maintaining the system, I highly suggest that you get a copy of the settings prior to doing anything. I think I remember 55590 will send the entire database information to the serial port. Also if there is an attendant guide it should have all of the 555 (print) codes in it. If the programmers access code has been changed you can also obtain it from the system info. I do not believe I am allowed to post what the default is but it is 4 keys to enter programming. And I also hope you have the overlays for the console.
