I have a 200 ICP with DID's and we are trying to set up the Dymo printer Via Precidia- The DID service works fine, the only problem is the printer will not print the DID info. All we get is garbage.

If we hook a laptop up to the precidia we are getting the correct info to Procomm.

We played with the pinout and parity, and we are beating our heads agianst the wall.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

You have to make sure your 200 is set up for what type of printing. Is it serial, an IP Data Port, or are you using an IP socket. Each one has to be set up differntly in the 200.
You also have to make sure you have SMDR enabled in your switch.
If your doing serial this is what it needs set up.
ACII Output, 7 Data Bits, 1 Stop Bit, Space Parity, and 1200 Baud.

Hope this helps. E-Docs covers this pretty well.

Going out IP to Precidia with is working fine with a laptop, and we are set up for 1200 7 space 1 - from Precidia to Printer is the issue.

Barring that try what pins do you have high coming out of the printer. find a high pin and try jumping that to pin 4 and see if that doesn't help.

Alex, did you ever get this figured out? I'm interested, since I have one coming up, too. Just curious, though - can you run that printer off the console?

We have not been able to get this to work, Dymo will barly support the product, and there support has no documentation supporting PBX installations. We are getting some garbage to the printer but the main problem now is the printer baud rate is stuck @ 56K and it is turning out to be a difficult issue to lock it down to 9600. I will update more when we get this working
