If I am not mistaken, a sub-att behaves like an attendant. Attempt to dial during a call and you should be able to release to the called number.

I may be mistaken, but I believe that that's how Mitel designed it.

Tried that, just hear dtmf, no transfer. Thanks. I had checked dox for 4150 subatt; says to use trans/conf key.

did you change the cos, if you didn't I would copy the one you had to a new one and add at least option 606 and any others you may want i.e. 123

Check COS... You don't have to add Trans/Conf Key but if you want to be able to manage more than one call you need to add Hold Keys.

SubAtt COS was missing, so I had copied ATT COS-4 to COS 13 and modified that for SubAtt. For a test on this problem, I changed COS for the 4150 back to its original with no change-still no transfer button. Yes, when I first programmed the phone I put LDNs, HOLDs, and a Recall button on it.

have you tried changing the phone and/or port as the 4150 set should have trans/conf when you are on a call even with the default cos, next to no options. I just tried mine, programmed as a 4150 not even a "sub" and used a cos 41 which I left as default and the trans/conf still worked.

Removed button programming except prime-line; no effect. Deleted and recreated phone as non-sub; transfer shows up now. I'm waiting to get a tech onsite to work this in greater detail. Working with Front Desk Staff can lead to baldness. Thanks guys.

One thing else about the EL... If you have this problem again, deleting the offending programming on the port and reprogramming doesn't always fix the problem. TS recommended to me that I renumber the extension having issues, move it to another port, reprogram the correct extension on the orginal port and then delete the bad one. There's something that sometimes stays married to the port that can cause problems even though you deleted the programming of the extension but if you move it to another port in programming the problem follows to the new port and leaves the original ready to go.

Thanks, jonmyk. I do need this as a sub, so i may have to try that. I've confirmed a tech is to be onsite tomorrow to install a second 4150. I'll program it first to see if problem happens on a different digital port.

Issue resolved. It was COS. I went back and copied the original COS to COS 13, then added enhanced Sub to COS. Both 4150s work. One issue regarding functionality: Customer ordered these from us "blind" thinking they would also get wakeup call capability on the 4150s. Apparently LW17 can't get wakeup on sub-att sets. Thanks, everyone.
