My customer complains that the system drops callers, and messages. i've replaced the unit once. It's connected to a DS1000. Any hints? Thanks.

update the ds1000 software, that's where I would start. Need to be at version 2.11.05 since you more than likely have the older type ds1000.

It's definitely flaky; two problems I saw were display problems when reading personal speed dial, problem was consistent and so was scrolling down in CLID display. Every time I scrolled down the list, the system would reset when I got to call number 75 at any phone. Wow! Easier to replace the ksu and bring it back for testing, since it has to be reprogrammed by hand. Thanks for your input.

2.11.05 will fix the caller ID logging glitch. The only problems I've had with the Ds series has been ds1000's that have nitsuko labels and of course the nvm2e. It would be cheaper to replace ksu and get a intramail than it would be to buy another nvm2e.

I/ve used both NVM-2e the customer has reported problems with in my ofice; no problems. Must be something in the ksu. Fingers crossed.

do you have anything hooked up to the analog ports besides the vm...
if you have an expansion card in the ksu, make sure it is seated properly....
