I have a MICS 5.0 w/ a NAM II. Internal calls go to user mailbox just fine, but DID's go to main AA greeting. What am I missing?

make sure the expected DID digits are assigned to a target line and then under terminals and sets, the target line is set to ring on the appropriate extension.

target lines start at line 145 (I think)

Prime set on target lines is set to none(I think that's what I finally left it at). Also when a call is transfered to a station, it goes to the main greeting instead of the mailbox.

if you don't have a lot of phones, make sure the prime set of the target line is the same as the extension of the target line. Sounds like your DRT overflow is acting up. What are the rings to voice mail set for?

First of all I would like to know what the s/w level of the application module (NAM)maybe its not compatible .In my opinion I think the NAM its not compatible and required a s/w patch that you can load to the NAM thru the Floppy or remotely thru the NVM.

Once you log in as administrator, 1020000(or whatever you choosed)and you see mailbx ,AA ,and other dials 9, it will display the s/w version.

That’s confirm my thoughts, you will need an upgrade or a patch to your Voice mail, and for your information your system s/w its a buggy Mics 5.0 s/w version and you will have trouble with it .one of the problems that you can't make the line supervised when you do so the line will become inactive and you will need that feature in order to avoid a hang up messages in the VM.That’s my opinion I hope that helps

Good Luck

Issue 1, calls transfered to stations go back to main menu instead of mailbox.
Issue 2, DID calls go to main menu instead of mailbox.
Internal calls work properly, they do go to mailbox.

Then for sure you applied the wrong patch or you did it wrong (I doubt that).

I was told I did the patch wrong. But I took the unit to them(yes, how fortunate I am, a local supplier) & they are doing it for me. I pick the unit up in the morning & will try again.

You need the "re-direct dn "patch. I could call into it for you and fix the problem no sweat. Look at the bottom of the NAM...Do you see a modem card/? email me back or call me @ 443-549-1057
