MICS 6.1
when the phone rings the display shows 'line 1 calling'.
when you answer you see the caller ID.
How do you program the ID to show during the ring?

Caller ID is set in a couple of places in Terminals & sets. It's on a per line/per extension basis. Take a look at the documentation for the MICS. It will have your answer.

Caller Id set allows you to specify if a telephone displays the Call Display information when a call is ringing on an external line(After the call is answered,Call Display information is allways shown at the telephone that answered the call).The Caller ID set for target lines is the same set that has apperance on that target line.Press CHANGE to select the setting.
Of course the telephone must be a ringing set,also while the set is ringing try the feature code for Caller ID to see if you are getting the translation from the carrier.

Telco Features is giving you ability to choose seting for CID: (Name or Number first), CID(Y or N), Line CID Y or N for Target Line.
