At work we have an extention that says Alarm 75. I did a search and I saw that it means there is something wrong with the PRI clocking.

Would this Alarm 75 cause the phone to call 911? Cops show up in our building every few months saying someone dialed 911 around our area.

Thanks

I would doubt that the system would dial 911 because of a clocking issue with the PRI. I can't tell that it's 100% impossible, but it is doubtful.

Did they (cops) really just specify it as "around your area?" The 911 service center should provide an exact address along with the telephone number of the caller.

Last time it happened the cops were driving around our building and the security guard said that there isn't anyone in the building except for him and another employee.

We didn't ask for the phone number but they were saying its in our building or a building near us.

Could be the company in another suite.

Thanks Richard

Maybe some jerks (hackers)driving cops nuts. Restrict your VM ports from accessing outgoing Pools.

Alarm 75 is a loss of T1 (what the PRI rides on)signal, PRI alarms are in the 40 range. The only way I can see that the system would dial 911 is if you had a RAD installed that was misprogrammed for alarm notification.

Sorry to reopen this thread..

Today I noticed an Alarm 40 on the phone that has Alarm Set. I also noticed 2 ports on one of the 0X8's are not displaying anything on the phones.

Could that be a bad card or just the ports?
What do you guys recommend I should do?

Thanks
