Hey Guys,
I never do any of our cabling when we do our phone installs, however, I have to do the cross connecting and all because my cabling guy is out sick.
We have 3 66 blocks and I apparently did everything correct. All of my extensions are working and all of my phone lines appear and dial out in the correct order. Same goes for them coming in properly.
However, I have a CP100 that I am trying to get connected up. It has a rj-11 on both ends and there are two. I read to punch them down on the last two pair where the extensions are as the last two extensions. So, I spliced the cable and connected the red and green cables to what would be extension 36 and 37.
When I power up the CP100 the two port lights turn on. Then they shut off for a few seconds. Then they blink for a little while then they turn off. None of the lights ever come back on after that.
No way to activate it or verify feature codes.
Based on what I described, any ideas?
