I know there are not actual ring groups in the 824, but has anyone figured a work around for this
Thanks
John

You could loop an extension back to a CO port and then assign that extension as an overflow or a single digit through a custom menu.
Not sure what your trying to do.

On a 816/1232/ and the tda100/200 systems you can have a ring group that a auto attendant can ring, but they did away with that feature on the 824. Just wondering is any one had any insite as to any work arounds for that.

Assuming your referring to a true "ring group" and not a "hunt group" then use the loop back.
On the sets you would like in a ring group assign an unused CO line. Take an open extension port and set it up for no incoming CO ringing.
Loop that extension port to the CO input that is assigned to the group of phones.
Also in the group make sure to remove outgoing privileges so that they can not access it automaticly.
Now when you dial that Ext. the CO will ring on the group of phones.
In the A/A use a custom menu and have a single digit point to the Ext. that's looped back.
