Hi gents. Have a TVA50 paired up with TAW848 which has gone berserk with external message notification. It calls the two devices (telephones) nonstop despite having retries set at 2. It will call on the order of 30-40 times until the message is picked up! Please advise. Thanks.

MrG no unusual calls. This only happens when message is waiting. Calls only the 2 devices.

OK, I see what your saying, it's calling the correct devices but constantly.
Did this ever work properly and this just started or are you trying to get it set up for the 1st time?

we didn't notice the problem until we got a message while travelling and our cell phones were off. upon landing, we had on the order of 35 voicemails each!

Found problem: Set "Device Notification for Unreceived Message" to NO! If yes, this is a hair-brained parameter that allows the machine to run amuck trying to get hold of you. 100+ calls is not uncommon.

It's not a hair-brained parameter.It's for business with a need for emergency notification, you leave msg, it calls till a person is found.
Quite necessary in many business apps.
PIB if you don't need it.
