KXTD-1232-4 Can I put splitter on XDP port and use 2 analog devices, 1)an auto dialer through a computer modem, and 2)a slt.

Also, if autodialer dials a phone number from XDP port, how can I pick up and talk to called party from that Panasonic digital phone?

yes.

Turn off XDP port so that it is same extension as phone.
Enable parallel operation. When modem finish dialing, press the green line button and hit Hotkey to drop modem. Or put as many pauses as needed then hangup command as suffix to all numbers. This will give you time to push button and modem will drop off automatically. You need a modem you can hear dial.

You could also try leave XDP on, it is now a diff ext.
Put in "flash, your ext, hangup" as a suffix to each number. This would transfer the call to the digital phone and then hangup. You would just hit speaker or grab handset to answer. Depending on line type and provider you may need to put a pause or two before the flash so the call starts ringing before the modem hangs up.

Make sure that modem is set to not answer.

If you use the modem with a speaker, with xdp off as Brokeda said, when you hear the call ringing on the modem, pick up the handset/ press spphone on the 7453 and it should take the call from the modem, then click hang up on the modem.

(Works on the uk system that way)

Thank you all. I didn't know if I would have to use the exec. call barge in feature if I enabled the XDP or how to accomplish this. The parallel port sounds like the way to go.
