Hello, We have a TA624 telephone system in house. We have been successful at using a telephone coupler like the following. https://www.dictationstore.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=LRX-37C We may use it to record the audio (both ends of the line) conversation of phone calls. We simply put a simple splitter and run one line to the KXT7735 phone and the other to a PC to the mic input of the sound card. Now, we have another office also with a Panasonic telephone system. However this phone system is more advanced. It is a TA1232 phone system. The phones used are XDP phones, model KXT7230. When I try the phone logger devices on the TA1232 phone system, I do not receive any audio through the audio out of the logger. Is there a difference in these two phone systems that would account for the phone logger not working. Would there be a way to get these to work? Alternatively, is there a way with the TA1232 system to record phone messages and be able to store them and archive them for later playback? There is also a TVA200 voicemail system connected to the TA1232 Thanks Mike

They are digital telephones so you won't pick up the speech path on the jack

Is there a way to get an analog output on the jack?
Is there another device like the loop patch which will work with digital phone systems?

Okay, elja, Inc., welcome to the board.
You are listing a digital telephone model number (if I remember correctly) with an analog KSU model number.
KXT A KSU is ANALOG KXT D KSU is DIGITAL
Now then, the KSU will furnish you an analog circuit just as the KXTA624 did (if it is a KXTA1232)...just in a different location. Check your manual.
If it truly is a digital KSU, well......
Good Luck!

Your analog phone will work on the TD system and let you record the same way you do with a TA series system.
You can merge the XDP and the digital station with the 390/391 codes and some system programming, but to tell you the truth, I've never played with the results after it's done. We just used it for a cordless phone transfer and the customer lost that when he upgraded to a TDA.

Carl. If a digital phone is plugged in and xdp is on, it is not a true parnell, if you pick up analogue phone it will take the call from the digital, you can not talk on both devices at the same time. If a analogue key phone is on like the kxt 7730 you can

even with parallel extension on, you can not talk on both at same time with a digital extension
