Our Telrad system is in FL and says key bx on the phone and key bx 816...we've had it since '87. I have moved to WI and continue to work for the company in FL. The company in FL has several FL lines including a national 800#. I would like my assistant in FL to transfer client calls to me in WI so that my clients don't have to call me separately at my WI number. I have copies of two pages from the manual describing how to make a conference call. We have tried every which way to use the conferencing buttons and can't make it work. What would you suggest?

Rita.

This is what you need to do.

First, when you assistant answers the call she does not put it on hold, she will immediately hit the CONF Btn, then select another line and call you, once you are on the phone she hits the CONF btn again an then you and the other caller will be connected. You assistant can hang up.

I hope this helps.

Rusty - We tried that. For a brief moment, the three of us...the client who called in, my assistant and me...were on the line. My assistant hung up and that disconnected the call on my line.

I cut and coppy a last post msg but added the feat 87. But I'm not sure if pcpsb1 had it and you might be that version. Try it out. Keep in mind the volume will be low. You might want to look into centex. or upgrading

Sorry you have a Telrad 816 it is the analog system and quite the antique. The Tranfer with Trunk Patch cannot be done on this system that was a feature added in the Digital Systems. You might be able to do a centranet transfer if you add that service thru your CO Line provider. But that will be $$$.

Tony you are correct, Version 1 didn't support it on the feature sets, If it's two outside lines you are trying to conf. then you will have to get centrex features on you lines as Tony and SS stated.

Thanks for your help, everybody. The manual that came with the phone explains a trunk to trunk patch and specifies the systems it covers which doesn't include ours. However, the conference call description says we can make conference calls with up to four participants, two of whom may be on outside lines. When the procedure is followed as we've discussed it doesn't work. I'm going to give up at this point regarding this BB but will try one more option. When a client calls into the FL office, my assistant will call them back, press conf, then call me press conf and then we'll see if my assistant making both outgoing calls is any different than one incoming call from the client and one outgoing to me. I won't hold my breath. Thanks again everybody.
