How much easier can you get then speed dial Most systems will allow for system speed dial where you just dial a 2-4 digit bin number or setup personal one touch buttons on your phone. TransTel has a "Dial by name" feature where you enter the first letter and scroll through the names then pickup handset or press SPK button and it dials.

NEC's IPK II & the new SV8100 both have "directory" dialing for system, station & group speed dialing as well as a directory for internal extensions. Also included is a directory for caller ID & the last 10 called numbers.

So does the Vertical Comdial MP5000 and FXII series. It's fairly common these days.

Panasonic TDA has a 1000 system speedials. It's easy to use once the names and numbers are in there but it would be a pain for the customer to enter or edit himself unless he had the programming software.

Toshiba has Netphone where you can dial from your address book in Outlook or most contact management software.

Siemens has a speed dial on the telephone called the Directory. It has all system speed dials and extensions. One can scroll through the list (displayed in the LCD) or skip using the keypad to enter a name. On the Optpoint 500 telephones ine also has the option of using a USB cable to the computer to dial through outlook. On the new Hipath Open Office one can use the directory or the MyPortal software which syncs with Outlook or you can dial from Outlook directly.
Essentially most systems can do this function now.
