Our employees report that when dialing 0 the receptionist phone does not ring. When dialing other extensions, they go though. Could this be a do not disturb is enabled on the phone associated with the 0? Is there a way to check this by dialing into the system? Thank you in advance.

0, by default, is the DN for the attendant consoles. Do you have attendant consoles? If you don't, did you assign 0 as a DN for a station? If, from your station, you call another station that was in DND, your phone display would read Do Not Disturb.

I'm not sure what was assigned. I know that 2 of the receptionist extensions dont ring when they are dialed, and their extensions are 101 and 103. I believe that 103 may somehow be linked to 0, but they advised that neither of them have DND on, but it's just they can't receive calls on those 2 extensions, and when dialing 0. But dialing other extensions both internally and externally works fine.

Ext. 101 and 103 probably could be reached from voice mail by dialing 0 while in voice mail, but the mailbox 0 does not necessarily mean DN 0. You will have to determine in the CIX what DN 0 is assigned to.
