DrPBX: I need some help with a customer who has an extension that rings busy when the DID number is dialed---and another extension is just not mapped with the DID. I would like to have this done remotely, but have never done this on a Vodavi DVX. Need to talk to someone like you. E-mail me or let me know through this forum. Thanks.

You have to go into a few sections to get the phone to ring where you want it.
First go to Flash 41 button 3 and see how many DID digits it's looking for. Usually 3 or 4.
Now go to Flash 44. Scroll through the list. Buttons K & L or 18/19. You are looking for the last 3 or 4 digits of the seven digit number on the right. Those last x amount of digits is what you want to get to. The number on the left is what references the ringing station in Flash 43.
For example. The phone # is 555-1234. In this example, use 3 digit. So we are looking for ----234. You will probably see this when you do Flash 44.
DID 000 0000001 Buttons 18 and 19, K & L to increment or decrement the DID list. DID 001 0000002 ... DID 134 0000234.
To change the left reference press 'Q' then the new reference, or you can keep 134.
Next go to Flash 43. Let's go to the left reference of 134. Flash 43, ";" 134 "HOLD". This should give you the reference, ROUTE 134 134A.
So if you want to enter the new station, let's say port 150. Press 'Q' 150+7 (7 to always ring) then 'HOLD'. To remove the existing station 'Q' 134+0 'HOLD'. It should now look like ROUTE 134 150A.
Your DID should now ring to that station.
Leave a msg here if you need further help.
Tip and ring, the work of the devil!

DID's are a pain on a DVX, but once you get it down its not so bad.
