Recalling? When the phone rings back and that person picks up the phone, what happens? Does another phone ring?

This could happen in one of two circumstances.

1) If an extension calls an extension and that person was on the phone you'd hear a busy. If this person stays on the line for about 4-6 seconds, you'll hear a beep and a reorder tone. This puts the phone in a ringback state. When the person you called hangs up, your phone will ring. When you pick up the phone, the other persons phone should ring. If you were on the phone when the other person hung up, it cycles through and rings your phone waiting for the other person to pick up the phone. You need to find the other phone and pick it up or call it to release the callback. I assume you don't know the extension that called.

2) if you dial an extension and the line is busy, you press tha callback button. When the other person hangs up, your phone rings, you pick it up and the the phone you dialed should start ringing.

Offhand, I don't know if there is a callback clear code that can be input to wipe it out.

In summary, you really need to find the combination of the two phones. You know 1, now to find the other. It's possible the other phone is in handsfree mode. When the phone is in ringback, the other person may not be sitting at their desk and the speakers opens up instead of ringing. You need to pick up the other phone to cancel the ringback.

Try that, if it doesn't work leave another msg.

Tip and ring, the work of the devil!

Thanks for your reply, I'll look into those 2 aspects, & let you know.
