I was wondering if anyone had a preset file for a 4x8 config with vm?

A 4x8 configuration on this system can be as generic or as customized as you want; in any event, the voice mail is going to require at least some customization.

Well, first, are you using Vodavi voice mail or some 3rd party band? If you use Vodaiv, you just need to define the voice mail ports. The integration won't need to be touched.
If you are using a third party voice mail, you can use the Vodavi defaults or create whatever inband you want.
To define the voice mail ports, you have to go to FLASH65, button 12. Define the ports, for example you are using ports 106 & 107. You would enter 106-1 HOLD, 107-1 HOLD. Entering 1 after the extension number defines the ports. A zero after the extension removes it.
Just define voice mail buttons on the phone and you're ready.
If you are using a third party machine, you have to make sure the integration matches and you will probably need to set up a disconnect string. FLASH66 button 8. Then enter 9999HOLD.
