I have a problem where people are finding it very hard to hear me over the telephone. What is my best option to resolve this issue? I'm willing to buy a new phone, headset, and/or amplifier. I just want this fixed. My budget is around $100. Currently I have a Uniden cordless phone with 2.5mm headset jack and a Plantronics M175C headset. My speech volume is low whether I use the phone or the headset to speak.

Have you tried using another phone?

As Dave said, cordless phones don't have the best transmission. Try a wired phone - preferably one of the older 2500 (standard old fashioned) sets.
If you still have a problem they make handsets (Note: I mean JUST the handset and NOT the entire phone) that have amplified transmission. Be careful if you order one of these - the more common type is amplified reception for the hard of hearing. If you find you do need one, come on back and ask and someone will point you in the right direction.
