Anybody else having trouble with this button. Siemens has now started to charge for support, so I thought I would kick it around here.
I have a button programmed as a conference, but when I press the button, either idle or with a caller on the line, I get a "Currently Not Possible" I have the conference with external desitinations flag checked.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Why have a conf. button when you can just use the optiguide? It is very simple to do and then you really do not need to have a conference button. If try to use the conf. button while your phone is idle it will never do anything....the reasoning is that you cannot conference anyone if you are not talking to anyone.
Try doing a conference with the optiguie instead and see if it still does not work.

Thanks, the only reason we are using a conference button is we are using it to record to a third party voicemail system. I think the optiguide is great, and that is all I use, but the customer wanted a one touch button. And our salesmen are picky when it comes to giving the customer what they want, even if it doesn't make a dang bit of sense. I tried to talk them out of it, so it would free up a button, but to no avail. The conf. button doesn't work even with a caller on the line.
How long have you been installing Siemens? Do you like the Siemens product? I've been at it about 6 years, and have had some ups and downs with them.

I love them. Once people get past the fact that they do not work like many other systems they also love them. The key is to adequatly train the people on how to actually use the features. They are powerful systems when people get a handle of them. Plus, you cannot beat the name recognition that they have.
