Does anyone know of a company that offers tech support for, has some of the hard-to-find parts for, or does anyone still work on these who I could bounce questions off of from time to time?

Thanks!

Justin

Justin, when we were maintaining these systems, we got parts and support from Source, Inc. in Dallas. I don't know if they are still around, but they took good care of us during that time.

I've heard of them before. What else do they support, or are they perhaps a national who we may have done work for in the past. My guess is the latter. In the past we worked with a company who sent us in to be the onsite for them in Mervyn's stores, that if I remember right, had Sat I's.

At the time, they were strong with Siemens, Nortel, AT&T and Mitel. They were our sole source for parts/support and their warranty was unbeatable. They cost a couple of dollars more, but we saved five with their quality and support.

It's been quite a few years though, so I can't speak for them with certainty. I wouldn't consider them to be a national unless they have completely changed their strategy. They weren't offering anything in the way of installation services back in the mid-1990's that I know of.

Yep, that's the company that we have worked with for support of Siemens systems. Their available stock of Siemens parts and support was always impressive. The only reason that we don't work with them on a regular basis today is due to the fact that we don't service that brand anymore. I'd tend to think that they still maintain the same level of quality. Again, a few dollars more will save you many in my book.

Have you tried Siemens Resale? I do not know if they still stock for the old Saturns, but it might be an option for ya! smile

We have been buying Hicom parts from Kaiser Comm (https://www.kaisercommunications.net) and Black Box has a guy doing Siemens phones that came from Siemens.

Ed, I talked with the Saturn guy at work, and he said he had tried working some with Source in the past, and they didn't seem to be equipped to help with the Saturn, both on parts and knowledge base. Siemens is not listed on their website.

Also, PM sent.
