Hello,

I recently bought a second hand LG GDK-16 system and am desperately trying to install it without the manual. If anyone can help me find a manual, I would appreciate it.

Also, if it doesn't show up, I'm trying to ID the conections to the various board from the last owner's previous setup. I know that there are 8 (seperate) connections to the CCU but what does SLI, DKT, DTI, SLT mean? There marked on the various boards.

Mtw, try posting this in the Vodavi section, I've never run into an "LG" system here but by googling "LG GDK-16" I found a few pics of LG's product line and they look remarkably like Vodavi products. Perhaps "LG" is re-labling Vodavi's stuff to sell in the UK. It looks like a Vodavi Mach I.

LG (Lucky Goldstar) made all the Vodavi Staplus and other stuff way back......

LG is to Korea what Panasonic is to Japan...

If you're right, it backs up my theory that all the phone systems are built by one guy in a garage somewhere in the far east!??

Do you think there might be some truth to this?

i have all manuals for GDK phone systems please contact me via my website.

by the way DKTU (Digital Key Telephone Unit)on the 16 main board is for digital phones and SLT is for a standard analogue phone (Single Line Telephone) the type that work on standard analogue phone lines.

i have a gdk-16

it only has 4 handsets, a pc & an analouge fax connected to it

i have swapped two of the handsets round and re=programmed them accordingly

unfortunatley i have messed up the fax settings and cannot send or receive faxes

can anyone help with this or let me know where to get a manual so i can have a go myself

I thought the GDK-16 was the same thing as an analog Vodavi Starplus 616. If it is, I can definitely help.

We have just had our system upgraded to the GDK 16 unfortuantely the engineer left no instructions as to how the users can get the best from the voice mail if you have a manual please can you let me have a copy

Do you still have installation and configeration docs for the GDK 16? I have a system that has been moved and needs reprog to allow calls on new number to terminate on sets.

Any help would be appreciated as I have no knowledge of this system.

aria 16s are crap to be blunt

your SLIs are you Analogue phones and your DTIs or something like that are digital extensions your CCO are your trunks.

crap i'd like to see the manual for LG GDK-16 too!!

i don't have one but i would like to see what all the fuss is about %=}

What is the deal with these used LG GDK-16's! It would appear that somebody is cleaning out their warehouse (Or Garage!). I believe the appropriate expression here is BOHICA. John C. (Not Garand)

Wow, not since I found the original manual for a 1956 Biscayne have I seen so many folks want a copy of a document.

The real irony I notice is how many of the folks requesting the manuals are the folks with the least amount of basic telecom knowledge.

When it comes down to it, it is all Tip & Ring!
