I`m trying to get and analog extension(for fax) thats programmed on another phones button to light up when the fax is in use. I tried programmed it as the extension itself on the other phone. The problem is the button stays green the whole time even in idle state.

The customer told me another phone had it already. I looked at the button programming and found that it was programmed as a speed dial key F1107. I programmed this same sd key on the other phone but the light doesn`t light up. If I hit the button it calls the fax. Please help, thanks.

Busy/Idle status of the station can be simple programmed only on the DSS console. Assign ext nummber to the key.

For Dterm you mast assign station speed dial key and
write desired number in the memory cell.

For Dterm ext #200

73>200:010102

assign memory for spd numbers
0 - 0 1000-block
10 - 10-slot start block
1 - not allowed program from stn
02 - 20 cells

94>200:010102
assign the same as in CM73 !

9000>200,01:F1101

key 01 and cell 01 !!!!!

9000>200,02:F1102
9000>200,03:F1103
9000>200,04:F1104
.................

now write desired ext #. for example #300 for key 3

740>0103:300

You mast assign unique own memory block for each Dterm.
Memory blocks in the CM73 and CM94 mast be the same
for each Dterm.

Now simple write ext # in the memory cell.

The question here should be how did you programme it on the phone. If it was as a line appearance then if you haven't set 1205 for the fax extension the first time used it will stay on from then on.

R4+Z, I tried putting it as line appearance and it did stay lit up, so thats why I figured it had to be programmed as a speed dial like the other phone.

I can`t beleive i`m getting my butt spanked by a darn light. I have to have this figured out by Monday, thats when I have to go back to this location.

It only stays lit if the fax extension isn't set in 1205. change that and all will be OK for the line appearance.

R4+Z is correct for an analog line appearance. If you want to program the button as a speed dial, Program 73 and 94 must match for that extension and the speed dial button code and button number itself must match, as explained by Rezen. That is likely why one station works w/ a speed dial button and one does not.

Ok i tried program 1205 with having the analog extension programmed on the phone and the light still stays lit up. I simply programmed on extension 131 on the 9th button extension 134(aka fax).

I tried programming the same speed dial button in the same button location on extension 131 as is on ext 130(which does have the light working for ext 134). I did programs 73 and 94 on 131 as it was on 130. When I looked at 130 in program 73 and 94 they both said 002002. So I programmed 131 the same with no results. frown

Ok i nerver really got this speed dial down for dss buttons. The customer is now on me about getting this to work. If someone has time to break down programs 73 and 74 to me. I basically need to program dss buttons on buttons 1-16 on a phone. I dont quite understand the memory cell stuff. Please help me get thru this so the customer will stop getting on my butt.
