I've been looking at these a little bit online, has anyone installed any of these? Any problems with them? Price wise, seems like a really good price for a small system.

Great systems - very reliable. However, the sets have a cheap feel about them. You should look at the DSX series, which has succeeded the DS series. The sets have a great look and feel to them. Check them out at www.necdsx.com

Very similar systems, but BillyBob is right. The DSX is just a better-looking system all around. Once there are a few more updates released to smooth out some of the bumps, it's going to be hard to beat for the price. As a matter of fact, it already is

While we are on the subject, an RJ11 is a one line jack, RJ14 is a two line jack and an RJ61X is a four-line jack. I should leave that subject alone for now.
Seriously, does the DSX series really use RJ61X-type connections, as in 8P8C modular jacks for lines and stations? If so, is it four stations or lines per jack on the KSU or is it like Partner and Merlin systems where there is one 8P8C jack per station? This has my curiosity going now.
By the way CLGJR, I like that slogan of yours. May I borrow it for use at my office?
OK, ttech I stand corrected...maybe I should have remained silent after all! Sure Ed, I got that saying from my Grandmother years ago and love it till this day. holds true no doubt..
Ed, yes, the DSX and DS 2000 use the 8P8C connectors and, depending on the card and system, do four COs, four stations, or just something to drive the DIY crowd nutz.
Example: So the 16 station digital card has four 8P8C jacks (not RJ45) that allows these 16 stations to appear on the backboard.
I buy the install cables instead of making them, makes a nice neat KSU and backboard.
