I am tring to do a remote admin on a toshiba stratagy voicemail from my Dell laptop win98. The admin runs in a DOS shell from windows and doesnt see the modem. I know the modem is working with windows programs.

What com ports does your program support. Your pcmcia is probably com 3. Usually dos supports 1 or 2.

Its set as com 2 and I used a Telrad PCP program and dialed out on com2.

It is possible your program supports certain IRQ's. If you can make a direct connect from com 1, then this is most likely the issue.
