I have clients that want to do a point-to-point, one has XP and the other might have NT. I know Procomm hasn't been updated in years and I've seen recommendations for Telix from the searches I've done, but what I need is comms software that will allow AT command illiterate people to call each other and swap files easily, as if they're on the same computer or network, but PTP connected.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

PC Anywhere has support for direct conections and the user has a multitude of options on how to connect. If these two users are limited to dial up then PC Anywhere will work well for this too. Im not sure why you would need the direct connetion though. Are these users on the internet? Are they on the same network?

They are government clients and the Internet isn't an option due to requirements they need to meet. I was looking at PC Anywhere but I haven't used it in a long time and didn't know how it evolved since Procomm was can'd. Thanks for the help.
