What is the difference between Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows 7 Professional? How easy is it to upgrade from Windows XP Pro to one of these? Just trying to get the scoop from one of the most reliable places I know. This place is pretty quick at cutting thru the Bull.
Thanks in advance.

basically windows Ultimate has bit locker which helps protect data, and it lets you switch between languages. Other than that, Pro does everything you will need. You will have to read the upgrade requirements, as I am not sure you can upgrade from XP. You can from Vista.

You cannot upgrade from XP, only Vista.

Professional should also allow you to connect to a Windows domain. Not sure if Ultimate can do that.
