I tried it and found to many problems with sites I use. It was quite a process trying to go back to IE8 I had to use Restore.

My beef with IE is that MS keeps adding new places for the infomercial superhighway to hide things on your computer. First it was just the hidden "user data" folder [and all its sub-folders and index.dat file] which was completely separate from the user data subfolders under "Temporary Internet Files" that would be [appear to be] deleted on a purge. Then they added the "DOM" storage, and then with IE8 they added at least two more places for stuff to hide. I shudder to think what they have added with IE9.
Much of this can be turned off/suppressed/blocked, but how many people take the time to do this? It just feels like MS doesn't have the customer's best interests at heart, unless you consider the "customer" to be the hokey spammers/scammers/trackers/popper-uppers/etc.

I have Mozilla (not 4 yet) and it's easy to use. I have IE8 and it's ok, but I like Mozilla better. I have Chrome for accessing Google Maps, at the suggestion of a friend, and it works fine, haven't tried it anywhere else and probably won't. As long as Mozilla keeps me happy, it'll probably remain my browser. 'Course I'm an ol' fuddy-duddy, and not very flexible, so...

Running IE9 on Win7 with no issues. In fact, it seems to be the most stable on Win7 of all the browsers I have tried. Chrome is pretty good, but I have ran into issues with, of all things, Google Voice. I like the look and customization of Safari the best, but it freezes too. I haven't ran the latest Safari though, I will try that. Downloaded Firefox 4 to an XP machine because I wanted tabbed browsing. Its crashed several times.

IE9 is fine. Major Browser releases don't really do anything for me. As stated it's just an excuse to pack more crap into what really should be a simple matter of rendering HTML. I mean there are after all standards in place and it seems like for all the 'chrome' they're packing in the true purpose of the browser gets lost. Nothing wrong with FF4, IE8, Chrome, or Safari. The question should be why would we need IE9 and is it structurally deserving of a full version update?
IE9 is clunky on XP but Vista/7 does well with it. The same inherent security flaws remain in IE9 that did with IE7(the first of the 'new' IE browsers) it's all fluff.
When I can do anything with my mobile android browser that I can with IE, with a fraction of the buttons or overhead...the browser wars should have long been considered over.

sorry, too many versions that should've read, "IE9 is clunky on Vista but 7 does well with it." I don't know if Vista's poor memory management or what, but there's a difference on comparable machines running 7. Windows Vista, it's the new XP. Hell I still have a 2K advanced server that I'm afraid to decommision.
