On a fx-II can the caller id button work when a call goes to voice mail, It works if you hang up before going to vm. but if you goto vm it does not store the caller id

The feature is designed to work as a RNA condition. It should record the call at the station even if it goes to voicemail, however, if it is a shared line, then all parties that have access to that line can view the ID. I believe the feature is designed to delete the record once it is view, but stores it in SMDA.

If the call goes to VM the cid light does not light it onlt lights if the party hangs up before vm

I did confirm you are correct on this issue. I guess the feature is set up for a true RNA condition. By the call going to VM it is considered answered. Seems strange though that just about everyone has VM today, so I dont know how useful this feature truly is.

I agree it's kinda annoying you can't get the history no matter what happens to the call, oh well that's what they get.

In order to get history the would have to have large screen sets that have an internal Call log of last 10 numbers or one of the CTI apps IE Impact Attendant, Group, etc. or a call accounting package.
