I have an office lite and the hard drive is dying my voice mailports are 38-41. I unplugged the ports on the office lite pc and plugged them into a Keyvoice debut digital brick I am going to replace the lite with. I intercommed 38 and it rang and rang and rang. So I rent into the dsu in hyperterminal and set voice mail ports to 38-41 checked physical and logical and 38 is 38 39 is 39 40 is 40 and 41 is 41. Now when I intercom 38 is says station not available. Any Idea's

I'm assuming your Lite was a digital integration...if so you still need to do first time setup on the Debut for it to work.

But on the debut brick's I thought that is done through mailbox 70 the supervisor menu. If I exit to dos and type install it doesn't do anything.

First time setup is done through supervisor box. The manual says run that BEFORE you hook up with a laptop.

Check your voice mail port programming in the DSU. If you went in and set it when it was already a vmail port then you turned it off. It's a toggle on toggle off operation.

But I'm doing this through hyper terminal so it says 1 to enable 0 to disable. I pressed 1 to enable then 38-41 and it says command accepted, Do I need to change it them an ist port?

Do not change it to an IST. Plug a set into the vmail port. If you get intercom dialtone it's not a vmail port. You should get one DTMF tone.

Only if you want to blow the unit to Kingdom Come. If it's a digital unit it ain't gonna like 90VAC ringing. The CO line would only be valid for an analog Brick.
