7200 with OAS Card in Slot 4 of Main Cabinet. OAS card has IP address of 192.168.1.206 and I can successfully ping IP from inside the network and from remote location across VPN. ITP-5121D phone ver 3.37 will NOT connect to card remotely or locally. Continues to retry. I have gone through the configuration 100 times and cannot find anything weird. I reviewed the old 7100 that worked and it had MGI ports as 3801-3809 even though phones were 3201-3209 I don't really understand that, but it works. I have reviewed MMC 615, 850, 851, 858, 840, 830 and give up. I have changed the OAS card to MGI ONLY...and variou other configurations such as MGI:8 MOBEX 24 blah blah. No change. Again, I can ping it fine. The system recognizes the OAS card fine. Just cannot connect. Any ideas?

Thanks,

James

ok I'm an idiot. I was pointing to the OAS card internal IP not the MP20 IP. I also read the special applications document and now understand MGI groups. However, my phone is registering remotely. I can dial internally and configure the system through the phone. I can even make outbound calls to the world. I just can't hear anything. I have a Sonicwall Firewall at the office and I'm plugged directly into my cable modem remotely (was into another sonicwall, but removed it from the equation). I have ALL ports open to the phone system currently with no change. What's my problem?

Thanks,

James

The Voip ports need to point to the oas, the signalling ports need to be set to the MP20.

Is this via vpn or public? if via public you need to set public ips on mp20 and oas card
