I'm doing a decent size cable job with 2 conference rooms that need audio/visual from conference room table to LCD TV on the wall. Although I should speak with the IT guy, I figure a DB-15(VGA) or HDMI for video and component or mini-jack for audio. I have one 1.5" conduit at ~20 feet for each room but need to decide on the best method. Two cat-5e cables also need to be run through the conduit for voice/data. Would you guys run another set of cat-5e and use baluns or is there some sort of cable with barrel connectors that I can use for the video? Passive baluns will probably be used because of the low profile cat-5e but they are costly, according to what I have researched. I have seen the ez-linx brochure and it may do the trick. How do you guys do your installations for this type of request? What is the general cost for such ezlinx cables and baluns?
