Today I ran into the weirdest problem I've ever seen on an E Class. Card # 3, is a 684. Oddly enough, it was showing up as a D12 in the programming reports.
I power cycle and the card comes up as it should. Then I notice the IVC 8EL card is showing up as a 612. WTF. I called tech support, and we tried a few things. We just kept Power cycling until the card came up properly again.

Any of the situations listed in the introduction can cause port cards to not load their programming properly on boot-up. If this happens you will have to reboot once with only 1 port card, and then reboot with all the port cards loaded to fix it. It doesn't always happen but as a general rule, if I change port card configuration, I always first do a clean reboot with 1 port card first.
