However, I would like to make a couple recommendations.
First of all, you should be asking your web developer about as many questions as they are asking of you.
Also, Search Engine Optimization is about as much to do with website structure as it is about link building, optimization, etc...
If you are hoping to be found on search engines and your web designer is not a pro in that area, consider hiring an SEO to consult and work with the designer during the development process.
It's not uncommon for someone to have a website built, then realize later on, that being found on search engines is a good idea
I was approached by a potential client recently that spent over $6,000 on a website that looks like it was done by a 10-year old as a school project.
When told it would cost atleast another $6,000-$12,000 to re-develope AND optimize the site, he almost had a heart-attack.
Unfortunately, a hard lesson learned.
No one wants to pay twice
- but for many people/businesses, they don't realize that having a search engine friendly website
is an option.
ps, just because someone is a computer expert, doesn't mean they are a website expert.
