This is proably a stupid question. And I would think the answer is no it does not.
Will outdoor fiber conduct lighting stikes. Or I quess what I am asking is outdoor fiber in danger of being hit by lighting? :confused:

No, it is not unless it is shielded. If it is shielded with metal armour it will then conduct a lightning strike to ground.

Hey Mike, Keep in mind that if the fiber is lashed to a steel strand or has a built in (figure eight) steel messenger that this too will conduct current!
