I can ask at work...I think we do some Ademco panels.
Doesn't this panel have provisions to wire an RJ31X into it? I assumed dialers were built in...

Actually, the 15P has the capability of dialing pagers if that helps your situation.

Otherwise I think a 4204 relay module may be what you're looking for.

Another way you may be able to trigger the dialer is by using the alarm output (siren output) voltage, 12 vdc, to power a 12 volt relay which in turn would trigger the dialer. This is the "Down & Dirty" way of doing things but I've used it on systems that did not have any other means. The 4204 is the best way to go about it if possible. wink

The 4202 is available from ADI (I just called to verify that) and it connects directly to the motherboard. I think there may also be some system programming involved.
The wiring instructions are described in the installer's manual and there should be instructions with the module as well.

If you want to use a relay you can get a 12 volt relay at Radio Shack. Then wire the relay coil terminals to the alarm output.
You can use the relay N/O or N/C contacts to trigger the dialer.

I have rb5 and that has a no and a nc on it. I can't figure how to hook it up. it keeps the relay open and dial out all the time, I come off lead 4 and 5 from panel and go to the no and comm and nc and com to 4 and 5 it doesn't work

thanks dennis

I asked at work, he said you would need a dialer because it will only dial a central station or pager.
I don't know enough about how the rest of it all works though.
