I have heard through the grape vine for some time that Avaya wants to become a software company instead of a equip company.

The communications market is shifting from a hardware/box mentality to a software-based services model. It's already begun. Avaya IQ is software only. And I heard that with the coming releases of Communication Manager you will need to source your own server to run it on.

Like Hal said, rotting in the grave with all the money and future development that makes jobs created.
Corporate America has sold out "The People".
All the retiree's from ATT, Lucent, Avaya and the stockholders are waiting in line for the crematorium. Grave sites will be to expensive in the death benefit plan. As they know it.
For the 50 dollar discount on your next electric bill one's refrigerator bought at Home CheapO will come with a network card. Instead of being "green compliance" It will be called, "network compliance."
A New futuristic rule of some bill passed in congress against the people. Just wait one moment. I think you will have to send in your write in vote for the next candidate that is backed by China.
