dave, would you believe, my house i bought in 07 had these wierd fence posts. I took a closer look... they are old telephone poles milled square. they are full of holes. Did some asking around the guy who used to own the house was a pole jockey and got em cheap... at first i thought the guy was stealing em. But i do have a suspicious retaining wall made out of crossbars from the top of telephone poles
