The Tos3000 You do realize that you are looking at a revamped Xcelerator IP? A system that has been out since 2007 and can be bought at some BJs wholesale warehouses? Same gateway same phones.

Had a x-blue email this week about this unit. Xcelerator was my first thought! Have one of those and 5 sets sitting here in a box!

Not sure what you mean by: 'the X16 was very good first pass by Tecom."
I bought the first X-blue 16 units that came out, caller id would not work with Verizon, took them close to eight months to resolve that. Now if caller id did not work with a no name carrier, I would get that, but Verizon, YGBSM!!!

Hummm... After today's webinar and now reviewing this post, aren't the X-50IP, the Vodavi Xcelerator IP and the ICON TOS3000 all the same identical product???

Yep just different software tweaks. Personally I think the Xcellerator was released too early and was ahead of it's time. Going to buy an X-50 to play with.

Of course it had nothing to do with Verizon not following the Bellcore standards.......

I would love it if Verizon just disappeared, especially that FIOS or whatever they call it. We had a lot of equipment that had CID trouble with Verizon. :bang:

Are there any important feaures missing on the x-50ip?

Bob

With all the variables involved, I am amazed when any voice and data technology works like it is supposed to.

One thing that bothered me Bob was the fact there is no "external page port" available on it...for use in a small business where I could see it.....a bunch of them use overhead paging...they said MOH is internal also i.e.: wave file that you can replace but no external jack...Just a couple of things I noticed...

...bob...

I've always thought that automatic hands-free intercom and paging over the phone speakers was a given in today's key systems. That means this one only emulates one in the square key category.
