I have a Panasonic TD816 connected to a TVS100
System has been working well for 5 years
Recently replaced hard drive in TVS and re-programmed everything and all is working properly including Custom Services and Auto Attendant. The problem I'm having is that out of the blue, the TVS WILL STOP accepting keys from either an outside caller or even an internal extension. The TVS will answer the call but the caller CAN NOT transfer to an extension using a number key. Simply rebooting either 816 or TVS100 will fix it again. Today I found out that just temporarily unplugging the connector from the 816 to the TVS will fix the problem. Seems to be something with the voicemail interface??. Any ideas would be helpful

Thanks,
Leslie

Thanks for your reply Shawn

There is a 50 pin connector from the expansion port on the TD which I have wired to a terminal strip. From there Two 4 conductor standard phone cables plug directly into the port cards. There are 2 cards in the TVS and 4 ports available and active. The really funny thing is that I never had this problem until I replaced the hard drive from another TVS. Could the software version on the new hard drive be incompatible with the port cards??. Maybe I should try copying the program from the old hard drive? Any thoughts? Thanks!

Shawn I need to check what type of integration I am using. Is one better than the other?

Thanks

After spending a good portion of Saturday working on this problem, I found that I had a broken wire in the second port card cable (VMPort3 & 4).

I also found other issues with the setup that have been incorrect for a while. One thing was that BOTH my CO lines were DIL to the SAME VM port! Explains why some of my callers were not getting through

Thanks again for the help
Leslie

All lines should dil to 1st port x165.
This is a VM hunt group if it is set up properly.
